How to build your like, know, trust factor

So you have heard it a million times, your dream audience needs at least 7 touchpoints to get them to buy with you, but that means nothing if you don’t infuse the know, like, trust factor at each of these touchpoints. And I hear you murmuring in your head  “that’s cool and all but how do I even do this!” This post will leave you feeling confident, because you will know how to build your like, know, trust factor so you can build your community of raving fans that champion you and most importantly buy from you.

How they get to know you

No one wants to be the world’s best kept secret, you and your brand need to get out there, like your nagging aunt will say, “you’re not gonna get a date being at home doing nothing” and um, she’s right yall! Catch me clinking glasses with your aunt right now, because the same applies here, you gonna have to shake that fear and put yourself out there and get real clear on who you are trying to date. Knowing and being specific on who your dreamboat client is, will arm you with the confidence to put yourself out there and should be the driving factor in your brand strategy and brand identity.

The only problem we face here is that they don’t know you yet, and you may be feeling disheartened that everything you are doing is falling on deaf ears, but the key here is to keep being consistent, show up and serve and then serve some more. Jump online and hang out where your dream clients are, and start conversations that complement your brand message, comment on posts and blogs, get yourself out there and turn your visibility right on. 

Oh I like, really like you!

We touched on being specific on who your dream client is and how it should be the driving force in your strategy, and this is because we are only talking to them, no one else. I am positive you have heard the saying “If you speak to everyone you speak to noone” this is a fact, because if everyone likes you, well that’s nice and all, but your net is now far and wide, what fish are you really gonna catch? Most likely the fish you don’t want right?

We don’t want everyone to like you, we just want your dream audience to, like really really like you! And how do we do that you ask? well it all comes down to being an authentic brand, and of course there is a lot of things you can do to support that *hi new blog post idea* but really truly just be yourself and let your brand personality shine through.

Trust in me

The most important factor in this equation is trust, because it’s simple, people buy from people they trust, and making that dough is what makes you a business. Branding is so much more than a recognisable logo, it’s the way you speak, the imagery you use, your brand colours and elements, and the overall experience clients have with you. With great branding you are able to showcase to your clients that they should expect a certain level of quality from you. And to be honest, we could go on and on about branding, but essentially we want your clients feeling confident in you and your brand, so they aren’t saying “wtf this doesn’t make sense”
